POinTS - Progressive Options in Technology and Science

POinTS is an Institutional cooperation project, in which teachers and students from Numedal videregående skole in Norway and Gymnazium Teplice in the Czech Republic cooperate within the school year 2016/17. It is financed from the Scholarship Programme – EEA and Norway Grants.

Participants from both partner schools search for connections between current scientific knowledge and its development in historical context. They use a wide range of ICT and e-learning methods in order to deal with challenging tasks from different fields of science and technology. The main aim is to
point out that scientific knowledge, as we perceive it nowadays, is related to revolutionary
findings from the past, and, therefore, we should understand science and technology as
branches continuously in progress. In our project there is target on students (15 – 17 years) as well as teachers, who deepen their knowledge in various science issues and its historical background. Participants from both partner schools will, therefore, gain knowledge in different science issues, which they will apply not just in teamwork activities but also in their further studies.
